Topic : The success of Richard III lies in the dramatic presentation of its compelling hero/villain. Discuss the extent to which this statement is an accurate assessment of Richard III.
Introduction :
Richard III is fantastic novel, it immerses the reader in the darker side of the happenings of the 15th century royal family. Although the vast majority of its success and enticing dramatic presentation lies within its compelling hero/villain the Duke of Gloucester. I use Hero/Villain because he can be considered both, his own personal hero, and villain to all in his path, for despite his evil deeds you cannot help but want to see his malicious plans come to fruition.
Topic : Deception is central to the dramatic impact of Richard III no other features of the drama are important. Discuss the extent to which you agree with this statement.
Introduction:
Deception is no doubt one of the Duke of Gloucester's greatest tools, a key instrument to his bloody rise in power, with it he has curried favor, escaped imprisonment and attained kingship. That isn't to say that it was the only feature that got readers immersed in the story. The clever use of Richard's soliloquy and the brief views of the plot from the point of view of the other key characters significantly enhanced the dramatic impact of the story, supplementing Richard's clever, deceptive antics.
Good introduction Jaron. A bit short though could have done with more substance.
